当ブログで何度も紹介している東京在住のフィリピン系アメリカ人YouTuberパオロさん（Paolo fromTOKYO）制作の映像を紹介します。今回はご家族とエスコンフィールドを訪れ、できるだけ多くのことを体験して紹介してくれる内容になっています。

日本は何事も“別次元”に引き上げることで知られているが、今回紹介するのはその最たる例かもしれない。北海道日本ハムファイターズの本拠地「エスコンフィールド」は日本でもトップクラスに先進的な野球場の一つ。日本旅行が好きな人には日本でやるべきことの中でもかなりユニークな体験になるはずだ。
このスタジアムは単なる野球場ではない。温泉やサウナが併設されてて、フィールドを見下ろせるホテルの部屋、犬同伴OKの席、バッティングシミュレーター、50以上のレストラン、さらに巨大な遊び場まである。もはやスタジアムというより、日本の野球文化を中心にした総合エンタメテーマパークのような場所だ。 東京から2時間のフライトと電車で1時間を経てようやくここに到着した。目的はシンプル。試合が終わるまでにできるだけ多くのことを体験し、最終的にはあの巨大なジャンボトロンに自分の姿を写してもらうことだ。

野球をほとんど知らない自分でも、この楽しい動画を見てあのスタジアムに行ってみたくなった。あのホテルに泊まって、野球を観て（観戦の一部は温泉に浸かりながら）、美味しいものも食べたくなってきた！パオロ、この素晴らしい動画を本当にありがとう！！

日本で野球の試合を3試合観に行ったけど、ファンの熱量はアメリカよりかなり高いよ。野球好きなら日本に行く価値ある。

ファイターズが福岡に遠征してホークスと対戦した試合を観に行ったんだけど、チアがきつねダンスが最高だった…やっぱ日本の野球が一番だね。

いやあ、最高だね。自分も日本で3試合観戦したことがあるけど（全部阪神タイガースの試合だけど）本当に素晴らしい体験だった。自分はドイツに住んでいて、時々ブンデスリーガのサッカー観戦にも行くんだけど、その雰囲気は日本の野球には敵わない！応援歌もパフォーマンスもビジターファンへの配慮も含めて最高クラスだ。残念ながら君は動画撮影のために時間に追われていて、動画ではそこの空気感まではなかなか伝わってこないね。でも、このスタジアムは本当に素晴らしい。もし自分が北海道に行くことがあれば、絶対に訪れたい場所の一つになるね。
( Oh hell yeah. I was on three games too (all with the Hanshin Tigers) and its so awesome. Im living in Germany and went sometimes to Bundesliga Soccer Games but the atmosphere is nothing in comparison to Japan Baseball ! The cheering songs, the performance the fairness and politeness to guest fans is top notch. Unforuntaly you are so much in a hurry that you cant get this feeling in your video. But this stadium is amazing. If I ever go to Hokkaido this will be a spot for the bucket list. )

私は2025年の7月頃にそのスタジアムに言ったことがある。生まれて初めての野球の生観戦だったけど本当に最高の経験だった。その時は地元の2チームがタイトルをかけて戦っていて（高校生だったと思う）、とにかくエネルギッシュで白熱した試合だった！🎉エスコンフィールドはとても広くて、建築的にも素晴らしいし忘れられない思い出になったね！！
