I can't say enough about how kind and efficient a Guard was when my husband and I were in a Tokyo train station and as I had my mobility scooter with me found that at one particular station I couldn't just drive it on because of a gap. The lovely guard came to my assistance with a ramp and then he phoned through to the station we were getting off at and another guard was waiting with a ramp at the exact spot our carriage stopped at . I think travelers should look into the habits of the country they are visiting and abide by them. Being rude is not high on the list of any country regardless of who you happen to be!!
