そう簡単にはいかないんだね。
( cant be easy )
表情に爆笑しちゃった(😂😂😂😂)
( The facial expression is sending me (😂😂😂😂) )
だからこそ日本語で会話をするときは、文脈からの手がかりがすごく重要なのね😭
( This is why context clues are so important when conversing in Japanese 😭 )
こういうことがあるから、自分は日本語の習得を諦めたんだ 🤣 あはは、敗北だね。あと、子音の響きを正しく発音しないと、全然違うことを言ってしまうから、それが重要だって気づいたんだ。 南アフリカ
( This is why I gave up on Japanese 🤣 ah ah I was defeated. Also, when I realised pronouncing assonantes is important lest you say something way off )
自分が最初に頭に浮かんだのは「わたしカエル(蛙)」 😂 ↑5957 インドネシア

自分はまだ日本語を勉強し始めたばかりだけど、これを見て「わたしカエル」という意味だと理解したよ。少なくとも、あり得ない解釈ではなかったようでよかった。🤣
( I'm just a beginner and I understood it as "I am a frog" — glad that at least it wasn't outside the realm of possibility. 🤣 )
そうね、わたしの第一印象では「わたし買える」と思ったけどね……
( Yeah see I thought it was 私買える at first … )
自分は「わたし買える」という意味だと思っていた。彼がリストアップし始めたときはびっくり仰天した。 アメリカ
( I thought it was "I can buy". I was flabbergasted when he started listing. )
でも実際はどれが正しいの? いや、マジで。どれなの?
( But which one is it, really? No seriously. Which one is it? )
┗ 会話の文脈次第だね。 日本
( Depends on the convo )
( Depends on the convo )
┗ 日本人だけど、自分はこの投稿者が最初に言ったことが正しいと思ったけど、正直なところ文脈にもよるよね(笑)
( As a Japanese person, I felt like the first one this guy said is correct but honestly depending on the context lol )

┗ 日本語にはピッチアクセントがあるし、文中のどの音にアクセントを置くかによって意味が劇的に変わってくる、文字通り列挙されたいずれかの意味に変わる可能性があるよ。 アメリカ
( Because Japanese has pitch accent where you accent the sounds in a sentence can change the meaning drastically so it can literally be one of these )

だからこそ、自分は漢字を見るまでは名前やフレーズの意味を推測しないようにしているんだ! アメリカ
( And THIS is why I refuse to guess at the meaning of names or phrases until I see the kanji! )
「Kaeru」は「Kyle(カイル)」にも聞こえてしまう 😅 ↑210
( Kaeru can also be “Kyle” 😅 )
マジで「わたしカイル」かと思ったよ 😂
( i really thought it was "I am Kyle" 😂 )
今こそ、自分の考えすぎる性格を活かして日本語を勉強するよ。 ミャンマー
( Now, I should learn Japanese with my overthinking skills. )
「watashi」と「boku」の違いは何?
( What’s the difference between watashi and boku )
┗ 「僕(boku)」は男性的な表現で、「私(watashi)」は女性的な表現である傾向がある。男性が「私」と言うのはごく普通だが、女性が「僕」と言うことはほとんどない。また、「私」は相手の立場に関係なく誰に対しても使える、中立的で丁寧な「I」の表現だ。さらに丁寧な言い方としては「わたくし(watakushi)」がある。
( Boku tends to be more masculine while watashi tends to be more feminine. A guy can easily say watashi but a girl would almost never say boku. Also, watashi is like the neutral polite way of saying "I" to anyone no matter their status (a more polite option would be watakushi). )

もしも私が日本語を勉強したら、頭痛が発生してしまうかな?
( If I learn japanese, will I get headaches? )
日本語は文脈がすべてを左右する。今回の例文では意味が通じない。なぜなら、その女性は、あらかじめ何について話しているのかを言っていなかったからだ。 スペイン
( Japanese language is all about context this sentence doesn't make sense because the girl didn't say what they're talking about beforehand )
同音異義語があまりにも多いことこそが、日本人が漢字を決して手放さない理由なんだよね。
( The absurd number of homophones is exactly the reason that Japanese will never give up kanji. )
結局……君はキラってことだね、という理解で合っているかな(笑) アメリカ
( So… you’re Kira is what I’m getting out of this lol )
あのジョーク、理解できなかったわ(笑)
( I lost that joke hahahaha )
今回のジョークが理解できるように、『DEATH NOTE』を見ておいて本当によかった。
( I'm really glad that I watched Death Note so that I can understand this joke. )
