◇フィギュアスケート GPシリーズ第2戦スケートカナダ第2日（2026年10月31日 カナダ・ケロウナ）
スケートカナダの女子SPが行われ、GPデビュー戦を迎えた18歳の島田麻央（木下グループ）が自己ベストを更新する82・11点をマークして首位発進した。
女子SPでは中井亜美（TOKIOインカラミ）の80・27点を上回る今季世界最高得点となった。
イザボー・レビト（米国）が78・50点で2位、ニーナ・ペトロキナ（エストニア）が77・24点で3位。三宅咲綺（シスメックス）は71・95点で4位となった。
島田は冒頭のトリプルアクセル（3A）を鮮やかに着氷すると、続く3回転フリップも成功。演技後半の3回転ルッツ-3回転トウループの連続ジャンプもしっかり決めると、3つのスピンはすべてレベル4を獲得。美しいスピンを披露するなど、シニアGPデビュー戦で自己ベストを更新する82.11点をマークした。
島田は世界ジュニア選手権で史上初の4連覇を達成。今季からシニアに転向し、9月の木下グループ杯ではSPで自己ベストの78.84点をマークした。トリプルアクセルや4回転トウループを武器に、シニアの舞台でも活躍が期待されている。

トリプルアクセルの着氷後のスピード、正しいルッツとフリップのエッジ、後半に組み込まれた3回転＋3回転のコンビネーション、基本的なスケーティングスキル、そしてスピンはお見事👏。ただ、正直なところ、彼女のプログラムは平凡に感じるし、感情移入もできない感じかな。それでも麻央は、技術とスケーティングのバランスという点で、すでに最も完成度の高いスケーターの一人だと思う。
