Wow I thought for sure Nakai had it (or at least would be 2nd). I honestly didn't expect gold here, but I'll take it! :) And congrats to the Japanese ladies...so beautiful!
個人的にはアリサはPCS（演技構成点）が盛られすぎだと思う。彼女は氷の上を這うような滑りだった。
Personally I feel like Alysa was overscored on PCS, she was crawling over the ice.
私は亜美の大ファンだけど、この表彰台の並びには満足。妥当な結果だと思うな。ただし大好きな私から見ても、彼女のフリーは少しシンプルすぎると思う… それでも銅メダルは本当に嬉しい。2つの3Aを成功させたのだから当然の結果だね（SPとFPの両方でクリーンに決めたのは今回が初めてだと思う！） 花織には優勝してほしかったけど、+REP（ジャンプの重複違反）とコンボ抜けがやはりあまりにも痛かったね。アリサは2つのプログラムを通して一番クリーンで、リンク上の一瞬一瞬をしっかり演じ切っていたと思う。 南半球
I'm a big Ami fan and I'm happy with the podium order, I think this is the right result As much as I love Ami, I think her free program is just too simple... Still thrilled for her winning bronze, deservedly due to the 2 3As she landed (I believe this is the first time she landed it cleanly in both her SP and FP!) Would've loved for Kaori to win, but that +REP and missed combo is just too costly. Alysa is the cleanest over 2 programs and she performed every second out there

Current OC scored 30+ points less than the previous one. It's a huge embarrassment for Olympics, that are supposed to be about progress and achievement but not about stepping back massively. Even Kaori herself scored 10 pound less than she did 4 years ago.

Between 2016 and 2022, the depth in Russian skating alone was incredible — multiple quads, consistent triple Axels, difficult jump variations, arms-overhead positions, speed, attack… Even programs that weren’t perfect still had huge technical ambition. Today, it feels like that intensity and complexity just aren’t there in the same way. Even watching the recent Russian domestic competitions, you could see layouts with much higher base value than what we saw here.
